About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Port Hawkesbury. You will work in a community pharmacy setting to gain practical experience that complements your academic studies. This role focuses on patient interaction, retail pharmacy management, and clinical knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain strict privacy standards, including patient confidentiality and consent management.
- Stay clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Engage in community pharmacy practice to build your professional skills.
- Improve your communication with patients, pharmacy staff, and other health care workers.
- Develop your knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Learn the operational skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.

- Current enrollment in a pharmacy program.
