About the role#
This position offers practical training for pharmacy students in a community retail setting. You will work under a local Associate-Owner while gaining experience in the day-to-day operations of a pharmacy. The role focuses on building clinical and management skills to prepare you for a career as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and manage consent requirements.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Develop your knowledge of OTC products, drug therapy, and disease state management.
- Improve your patient counseling and communication skills with health care workers and staff.
- Learn the operational requirements of managing a retail pharmacy.
