About the role#
This Pharmacy Intern position offers practical experience within a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store, gaining exposure to the daily operations of a retail pharmacy while preparing for your future career as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers who approach the pharmacy and provide an exceptional service experience.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, specifically regarding customer confidentiality and consent.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Engage in community pharmacy practice training to build your professional skills.
- Develop your communication abilities by interacting with patients, employees, and healthcare workers.
- Gain knowledge in areas including OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Learn the operational skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- You must be a future pharmacist currently pursuing a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- A strong commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Part-time, hourly, with flexible shifts.
- Compensation: The hiring range is $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, depending on experience and knowledge.
