About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Toronto. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting, working directly with an Associate-Owner to support patient care and retail operations. This role is designed to bridge the gap between academic study and real-world practice.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage retail pharmacy operations while maintaining privacy, confidentiality, and consent standards.
- Engage with patients, staff, and other health care workers to provide support.
- Assist with disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Ensure you remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Pharmaceutical Sciences program.
- A commitment to the Health and Wellness philosophy.
- An interest in providing a positive experience for pharmacy customers.
- Ability to work effectively in a community pharmacy environment.

- Schedule: Part-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, depending on experience and location.
