About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting to complement your academic studies. This role focuses on patient interaction, retail pharmacy management, and understanding the evolving responsibilities of a community pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage retail pharmacy operations and provide support to customers.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including consent management and customer confidentiality.
- Maintain a clear and professional presence to the public.
- Engage in community pharmacy practice while learning about disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Develop communication skills by interacting with patients, pharmacy staff, and other healthcare workers.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
