About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Mississauga. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting, working alongside an Associate-Owner to learn about the evolving role of the pharmacist. The role is paid and involves on-site work.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality and consent according to privacy requirements.
- Maintain clear visibility to the public while on duty.
- Provide a high-quality shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Participate in practical training covering OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Develop skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student in a Pharmaceutical Sciences program.
- A desire to pursue a career as a pharmacist.
