About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position located in Burlington, Ontario. You will work in a community pharmacy setting, gaining practical experience to support your academic studies. This role involves working directly with a local business owner while having the support of a national brand.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality, consent, and privacy requirements.
- Maintain high visibility to the public while on duty.
- Engage in community pharmacy practice to build your professional skills.
- Improve communication with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- Learn about OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Develop the skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Pharmaceutical Sciences program as a future pharmacist student.
- A focus on providing an exceptional experience for pharmacy customers.
