About the role#
This internship provides practical experience for future pharmacists within a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a retail environment designed to enhance your academic training and prepare you for a career as a community pharmacist. This is a paid, part-time position with flexible shifts.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and manage consent according to privacy requirements.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Provide support to pharmacy customers to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Learn about the expanding responsibilities of community pharmacists.
- Gain knowledge in OTC products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Develop skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.
- Enhance communication skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
