About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Toronto. You will work in a community pharmacy setting to gain practical experience that complements your academic studies. This role focuses on patient care, retail operations, and professional development under the guidance of pharmacy staff.
What you'll do#
- Greet and assist all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality, consent, and privacy requirements.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Engage in community pharmacy practice to support patient health.
- Build communication skills by interacting with patients, store employees, and other health care workers.
- Develop your knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Learn the operational side of running a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

- Employment type: Part-time, hourly.
- Pay range: $22.00 - $28.75 per hour.
