About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Etobicoke. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting to complement your academic studies. You will work directly with an Associate-Owner while receiving support from a national brand.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers who approach the pharmacy and ensure they receive helpful service.
- Manage customer confidentiality, consent, and all privacy requirements.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Learn about the expanding roles of a community pharmacist.
- Develop skills in patient counseling, drug therapy, disease state management, and OTC products.
- Improve your communication with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
- Gain the practical skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.

- Employment type: Part-time, hourly, with flexible shifts.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, based on experience and location.
