About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at this locally owned and operated Shoppers Drug Mart, you will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting. This role provides real-world training to complement your academic studies and prepares you for a career as a pharmacist. You will work under an Associate-Owner while benefiting from the support of a national brand.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including managing customer confidentiality and consent.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Provide pharmacy and customer service to patients.
- Engage in community pharmacy practice to better understand the expanding role of the pharmacist.
- Develop communication skills by interacting with patients, co-workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Gain knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Learn the skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or pursuit of a pharmacy degree.
- An interest in community pharmacy practice.
- A desire to provide a positive experience for pharmacy customers.

- Location: 1365 Huron Street, London, Ontario.
- Employment type: Part-time, hourly, with flexible shifts.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, depending on experience and knowledge.
- Work modality: On-site.
