About the role#
This position offers practical experience for future pharmacists within a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a retail environment designed to enhance your academic training and provide insight into the expanding roles of a community pharmacist. This is a paid, part-time role based in Oakville.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including managing customer confidentiality and consent.
- Maintain a clear and professional presence to the public.
- Learn the skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.
- Participate in disease state management and patient counseling.
- Develop communication skills with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- Build knowledge regarding over-the-counter products and drug therapy.
