About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern position located at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Winnipeg, Manitoba. You will work in a community pharmacy setting to gain practical experience that complements your academic studies. This role involves working directly with a local Associate-Owner while benefiting from the support of a national brand.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers who approach the pharmacy and ensure they are served promptly.
- Manage customer consent and maintain strict confidentiality to meet all privacy requirements.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Learn about the expanding responsibilities of a community pharmacist.
- Develop your knowledge of over-the-counter products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Practice patient counseling and gain skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
