About the role#
This is a part-time pharmacy internship at a Shoppers Drug Mart location in Ottawa. You will work in a community pharmacy setting to gain practical experience and bridge the gap between your academic studies and real-world practice. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in a pharmacy program who want to learn the operations of a retail pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality, consent, and privacy requirements.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Participate in community pharmacy training to develop your professional skills.
- Learn about disease state management and drug therapy.
- Develop patient counseling skills and knowledge of over-the-counter products.
- Gain experience in the daily management of a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- You must be a future pharmacist currently enrolled in a pharmacy program.

- Location: 647 Earl Armstrong Road, Ottawa, Ontario.
- Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Part-time, hourly, with flexible shifts.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, depending on experience and location.
