About the role#
This position offers practical training for future pharmacists in a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a locally owned store to help deliver health services while keeping the customer at the center of your work. This role provides real-world experience to complement your academic studies and prepares you for a career in community pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and manage consent according to privacy requirements.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Learn about the expanding roles of community pharmacists.
- Develop knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Build patient counseling skills.
- Gain the skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
