About the role#
This pharmacy internship provides practical experience in a community pharmacy setting. You will work under a local Associate-Owner while gaining exposure to the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. This role is designed to support your academic training and prepare you for future success as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Greet and assist all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including maintaining customer confidentiality and managing consent.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Develop your knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Improve your communication skills by interacting with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- Learn the operational skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.
- Explore the expanding responsibilities of the community pharmacist.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing pharmacy studies.
- You have the ability to work in a retail pharmacy environment.
Location & details#
- Location: 579 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga, ON.
- Employment: Part-time, hourly, with flexible shifts.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, depending on experience and location.
- Work Modality: On-site.
