About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students within a community retail setting. You will work under a local Associate-Owner while gaining exposure to the daily operations of a pharmacy. This role focuses on preparing you for a career as a pharmacist by providing real-world training that complements your academic studies.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality, consent, and privacy requirements.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Participate in retail pharmacy training to learn about the expanding role of the community pharmacist.
- Improve your communication skills when interacting with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
- Develop your knowledge of over-the-counter products, drug therapy, disease state management, and patient counseling.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a pharmacy student.
