About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position at a Shoppers Drug Mart location in Thornhill, Ontario. You will work in a community pharmacy setting to gain practical experience while you pursue your studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences. This role provides exposure to drug therapy, patient counseling, and the daily operations of a retail pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage a retail pharmacy environment.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including consent management and customer confidentiality.
- Maintain visibility to the public while on duty.
- Develop skills in disease state management and knowledge of over-the-counter products.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a student in Pharmaceutical Sciences working toward becoming a pharmacist.
- You have a focus on providing an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
