About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Winnipeg. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting, learning how to manage retail operations and support patient health. This role provides hands-on training to prepare you for a career as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers who approach the pharmacy and ensure they feel welcome.
- Manage retail pharmacy operations while maintaining customer confidentiality and consent.
- Follow all privacy requirements and remain clearly identifiable to the public.
- Engage with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- Provide guidance on over-the-counter products.
- Assist with disease state management and drug therapy counseling.
- Participate in comprehensive training to build your professional skills.
