About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Kanata, Ontario. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting while working under an Associate-Owner. The role focuses on helping future pharmacists develop the skills necessary for success in a retail environment.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality and ensure all privacy requirements are met.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Engage in community pharmacy practice training.
- Improve your communication with patients and healthcare workers.
- Build knowledge regarding OTC products and disease state management.
- Learn the operational skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing pharmacy studies.
- You have a genuine interest in community pharmacy practice.

- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, based on experience and location.
