About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Belleville, Ontario. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting, working directly with an Associate-Owner. This role focuses on providing real-world training to help you prepare for a career as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage patient confidentiality and ensure all privacy requirements are met.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Participate in community pharmacy training programs.
- Develop your knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Enhance your communication skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
