About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern position located in a community pharmacy in Hamilton, Ontario. You will work under the supervision of a local Associate-Owner, gaining practical experience in a retail setting. The role focuses on preparing future pharmacists for community practice through hands-on training and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy and ensure they feel welcomed.
- Manage daily retail pharmacy operations while maintaining privacy, confidentiality, and proper consent management.
- Provide patient counseling and support for drug therapy and disease state management.
- Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacy staff, and other health care professionals.
- Expand your knowledge of over-the-counter products.
- Maintain high visibility and accessibility to the public during your shift.

- Current enrollment in or completion of a pharmacy academic program.
