About the role#
This position offers pharmacy students hands-on experience in a community retail setting. You will work under a local business owner while gaining practical knowledge of pharmacy operations and patient care. The role focuses on preparing future pharmacists for success through field training and direct interaction with the public.
What you'll do#
- Welcome all customers who enter the pharmacy.
- Manage patient consent and ensure all privacy requirements are met.
- Remain easily identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Advise patients on health matters.
- Build communication skills with patients, colleagues, and other health professionals.
- Deepen your knowledge of over-the-counter products, disease management, and medication treatments.
- Learn the operational skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.
