About the role#
The Management & Sales Summer Internship is a paid, 10-12-week program designed to provide hands-on experience in retail store operations. You will gain exposure to business management, sales, and customer relationship management. The program includes structured time with the management team, travel with a Sales Representative, and a team-based project addressing a real business challenge. This internship is intended for students currently enrolled in college or university, specifically those pursuing degrees in Business Administration or Marketing.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly, professional assistance to customers in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain product displays and offer recommendations to customers.
- Develop an understanding of merchandise to answer questions and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Restock shelves and support visual merchandising efforts.
- Assist with transactions, product preparation and mixing, and general store upkeep.
- Help unload deliveries and organize stockrooms.
- Attend training sessions and follow all store policies.
- Support teammates and resolve basic customer concerns.
- Collaborate on a team-based project to address a real business challenge.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be enrolled in a college or university, with a preference for rising or current Juniors or Seniors.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing sponsorship.
- Ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. on occasion.
- Availability to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
- A valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
- Previous experience working in a team-oriented setting.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language, with the ability to communicate in Spanish preferred.
- Internal applicants must have a meets expectations rating on their most recent performance appraisal and have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses.
