About the role#
The Management and Sales Summer Internship is a paid, 10-12-week program focused on retail store operations. You will gain hands-on experience in sales, marketing, and business management. The program includes time shadowing a Sales Representative and working directly with store management. Interns also collaborate on a team project to address a real business challenge or store initiative.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly assistance to customers in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain product displays and recommend items based on customer needs.
- Build a strong understanding of store merchandise to answer questions and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Restock shelves and support general inventory management.
- Handle point-of-sale transactions, product mixing, and store maintenance.
- Unload deliveries and organize stockrooms to keep inventory moving.
- Participate in training sessions and follow store policies.
- Support team members with customer concerns and shared tasks.
- Collaborate with other interns on a project that solves a business challenge.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- You must be currently enrolled in a college or university as a rising or current Junior or Senior.
- You need a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- You must have at least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
- You should have experience working in a team-oriented setting.
- You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently, and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
- You must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in Spanish is preferred.
- If you are an internal candidate, you must have a meets expectations rating on your most recent performance appraisal and have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses.
