About the role#
The Management & Sales Internship is a paid, 10-12-week summer program. It provides hands-on experience in retail stores and insight into store operations, sales, and management. You will work on a team-based project addressing a real business challenge. You will also travel with a Sales Representative and spend structured time with the management team to gain experience in business-to-business and retail environments.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly, professional assistance in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain displays and assist customers with product recommendations.
- Understand merchandise to answer questions and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Restock shelves and support visual merchandising.
- Assist with transactions, product prep, mixing, and general store upkeep.
- Help unload deliveries and organize stockrooms.
- Attend training and follow store policies.
- Support teammates and resolve basic customer concerns.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be enrolled in a college or university.
- Rising or current Junior or Senior in college or university.
- Ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
- Experience working in a team-oriented setting.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
- If currently employed by Sherwin-Williams, must have a meets expectations rating on your most recent performance appraisal and have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses.
