About the role#
The Management and Sales Internship is a 10-12 week paid summer program. You will gain hands-on experience in retail store operations, sales, and management. The program includes time spent with a Sales Representative to learn about outside sales and collaboration with your peers on a project addressing a real business challenge. This internship is designed for students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers in-store and over the phone.
- Recommend products to meet customer needs and maintain store displays.
- Develop a strong understanding of merchandise to answer inquiries and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Restock shelves and support visual merchandising efforts.
- Handle point-of-sale transactions, product mixing, and general store maintenance.
- Unload deliveries and organize stockrooms to ensure efficient inventory flow.
- Participate in training sessions and follow safety, HR, and loss prevention protocols.
- Support team members with shared tasks and customer concerns.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a team-based project focused on a business challenge or store initiative.
What you'll need#
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are a rising or current Junior or Senior in college or university.
- You are legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- You have at least one year of experience in retail, delivery, or customer service.
- You have experience working in a team-oriented setting, such as extracurricular activities or military service.
- You possess a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- You have the ability to read, write, and communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
- You can lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- You are willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
- If you are an internal candidate, you must have a rating of at least 3 on your most recent performance appraisal and have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses.
