About the role#
The Sherwin-Williams Management and Sales Internship is a paid, 10-12-week summer program. It provides hands-on experience in retail store operations, sales, and management. You will gain insight into a career in outside sales by traveling with a Sales Representative and working directly with your management team. Interns also complete a team-based project that addresses specific business challenges.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to all visitors.
- Maintain product displays and offer recommendations to customers.
- Develop a strong understanding of store merchandise and inventory.
- Restock shelves and support general inventory management.
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions and product mixing.
- Help unload deliveries and organize stockrooms.
- Participate in required training and follow safety, HR, and loss prevention protocols.
- Support team members in resolving customer concerns.
- Collaborate with peers on a project addressing business challenges.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without needing sponsorship.
- Currently enrolled in a college or university as a rising or current Junior or Senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
- Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
- Previous experience working in a team-oriented setting.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish.
