About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience within the Total Rewards team at Shaw Industries. You will support the development, maintenance, and implementation of compensation and benefits initiatives. The role involves gathering data, creating reports, and learning from professionals in the textile manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing and maintaining compensation and benefits plans.
- Research market trends and benchmarking data to evaluate program competitiveness.
- Support compensation processes like salary surveys, job evaluations, and merit increase cycles.
- Review and analyze employee benefits, including health and wellness initiatives.
- Help communicate total rewards programs to ensure employees understand their benefits.
- Prepare reports and presentations to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project data.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
