About the role#
This position is for a student technician in administration. You will support the organization by handling administrative tasks related to accounting and supplier management. This is a full-time, unionized student role.
What you'll do#
- Manage supplier registration and resolve issues with billing or payments.
- Enter and verify invoices for regular operations, including matching purchase orders with receipts.
- Supervise tax compensation processes and handle remittances for Revenu Québec.
- Review employee expense accounts and corporate credit card statements.
- Ensure all payments comply with Canadian and Quebec laws, including tax regulations for GST, QST, and lodging taxes.
- Assist with period-end activities, including processing accrued expenses and closing the accounts payable module.
- Reconcile accounts and recommend ways to improve workflow efficiency.
- Participate in the implementation and optimization of internal systems.
What you'll need#
- A college diploma (DEC) in administration, accounting, or a related field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
- Strong written French skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- Attention to detail, autonomy, and the ability to manage priorities.
Location & details#
- Location: Head office in Québec City.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with mandatory days in the office.
- Salary: 24.56 $ to 34.01 $ per hour, depending on experience.
- Additional pay: A daily sustainable mobility allowance of 4 $ per day.
