About the role#
The Investment Banking Summer Associate Program at Santander CIB offers a path for MBA students to gain hands-on experience in the financial services industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals, developing technical and interpersonal skills while contributing to the firm's global investment banking platform. The program begins in June 2027 and includes mentorship to guide your professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Provide strategic advice to corporate clients to support their business objectives.
- Execute transactions and help clients access capital.
- Support company acquisitions and capital raising for expansion.
- Develop long-term client relationships and craft strategies for growth.
- Manage risks in a complex financial environment.
- Work independently on special projects and contribute to team efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA program with an expected graduation date of May or June 2028.
- At least 3 years of prior work experience.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication skills for articulating complex ideas.
- Ability to multitask and handle competing priorities.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
- Motivation to achieve results and demonstrate leadership courage.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
