About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join the Portage team for an 8-month term. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will support the planning and delivery of strategic, operational, and growth initiatives. This role involves working closely with the CEO and collaborating with teams across the organization, including Investor Relations, Legal, and Finance.
What you'll do#
- Assist in strategic planning by conducting research, gathering data, and preparing materials for decision-making.
- Support the creation of presentations and briefing materials for the CEO’s internal and external engagements.
- Attend meetings with the CEO, take notes, and track action items to ensure follow-ups are completed.
- Provide support on projects led by the Chief of Staff, such as process improvements and meeting coordination.
- Draft internal and external communications, including reports and newsletters.
- Conduct research and analysis to support key business needs.
- Assist in preparing investor updates, reports, and portfolio company reviews.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) or Google Suite.
- A positive attitude and a strong sense of professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- A hands-on, inclusive operating style.
- A curious mindset with an interest in suggesting new ideas and ways of working.
