About the role#
Sagard is seeking a Portfolio & Market Intelligence Analyst Intern to join the team in Toronto. This role supports investment operations and provides analytical insights to help identify and grow transformative financial services companies. This is an 8-month internship running from January 2027 to August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with business, investment, and engineering teams to identify operational pain points and research technical solutions.
- Monitor portfolio and fund performance by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from portfolio companies.
- Conduct research and create presentations, including data visualization and deck design.
- Provide ad-hoc analytical and strategic support to senior management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Economics.
- A strong academic record.
- Passion for financial services and technology.
- Proficiency in data manipulation, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
