About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to the field of public accounting. Interns are treated as full-time team members and are assigned a Career Advocate to assist in building personalized goals. You will receive an introductory orientation covering administrative and professional matters, as well as training on the firm's accounting and tax networks.
What you'll do#
- Communicate directly with clients and staff.
- Perform client work both in the office and at client locations.
- Execute audit testing and procedures on key engagement areas.
- Gain insight into the audit risk assessment and analysis process.
- Develop an understanding of internal controls.
- Gather and analyze industry and company research from public documents.
- Prepare written reports covering company background, financial reviews, and economic outlooks.
- Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior academic status.
- Completed introductory accounting courses.
- Prior completion of an Auditing or Tax class is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance.

- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Term: Winter 2028.
- Schedule: Full-time, typically 40 hours per week for at least eight weeks.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
