About the role#
The Entrepreneurial Services Group at RubinBrown partners with business owners to improve and grow their operations. As an intern, you will work with a team that provides accounting and tax support to emerging enterprises. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2028 term.
What you'll do#
- Apply general accounting procedures to client engagements.
- Plan and carry out daily tasks for small business clients.
- Review client documentation to prepare financial statements.
- Maintain client records and files on automated systems.
- Assist in the preparation of income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
- Perform attest procedures such as reviews and compilations.
- Prepare payroll tax reports, 1099s, and W-2 forms.
- Communicate accounting and tax matters to your team.
- Build relationships and communicate directly with clients.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Progress toward CPA certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Strong technical skills and a willingness to learn new technology.
- Ability to contribute to the success of a strategic business unit.
