About the role#
The Entrepreneurial Services Group at RubinBrown LLP partners with business owners to help them improve and grow. This role offers exposure to a broad range of business, accounting, and tax issues while working with emerging entrepreneurial enterprises.
What you'll do#
- Apply general accounting procedures to support small business engagements.
- Plan and execute day-to-day activities for client engagements.
- Review client documentation to prepare financial statements and tax returns.
- Maintain client records, files, and general ledgers on automated systems.
- Prepare payroll tax reports, 1099s, and W-2 forms.
- Assist with income tax planning and return preparation for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
- Perform attest procedures, including reviews and compilations of financial statements.
- Communicate accounting and tax matters to the engagement team and maintain direct relationships with clients.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Progress toward CPA certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Strong technical skills and a commitment to learning in a technology-driven environment.
- Ability to contribute to the success of a strategic business unit.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
