About the role#
As a Business Intelligence Intern, you will work with our Business Intelligence and Analytics team to help business partners use data and visualizations to drive organizational strategy. You will partner with IT mentors and stakeholders to implement analytic solutions that support business goals and improve team processes. This is a paid, full-time, 12-month internship running from May 2027 through May 2028.
What you'll do#
- Interview stakeholders, gather requirements, manage work items, facilitate meetings, and test dashboards.
- Support the delivery of visual reporting, infrastructure maturity, and business user consulting and training.
- Manage the development process and document steps for future replication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to IT objectives and assist with Data Catalog implementation and enhancement.
- Build out Data Governance policies, meet performance goals, and comply with the Bank Secrecy Act.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment at a University or Technical College throughout the length of the internship.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in data analysis, architecture, management, modeling, visualization, and SQL.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience working, volunteering, or participating on a team or club while balancing school work.
Location & details#
- Location: Royal Credit Union Corporate Center, Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Approximately 12-15 hours per week during the school year and 30-40 hours per week during the summer, generally between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
- Training: New team members must attend Foundation Training at the Corporate Center from 9:00am to 4:30pm on the first Monday and Tuesday of employment.
