About the role#
As an Asset Origination Intern at Rothesay, you will work directly with our investment team in New York. This 9-week summer program provides hands-on experience in financial services and an introduction to our approach to asset management. You will gain exposure to various asset classes, including public finance, commercial real estate, and corporate credit, while working alongside our team in New York and London.
What you'll do#
- Work day-to-day with the investment team to support live deals and desk projects.
- Shadow team members to learn about the investment process.
- Prepare pitchbooks and conduct spreadsheet analytics.
- Review term sheets and perform data gathering.
- Conduct qualitative analysis.
- Propose and present a trade idea to the investment team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time finance, business, or economics program.
- Expected graduation in 2029 (graduate and masters students are eligible).
- A genuine interest in asset management and investing, specifically in Fixed Income assets.
- A well-rounded background with involvement in academic, athletic, or personal extra-curricular activities.
- Strong leadership, time management, and communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a team.
