About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Toronto, you will support the team responsible for the development, test, and maintenance of all mechanical aspects of our reaction wheel and star tracker products. You will work alongside mentors and other employees to apply engineering concepts to solve real challenges.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with your mentor and department team members to grow your technical and professional skills.
- Apply engineering concepts to solve active project challenges.
- Attend regular 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors to discuss progress and learning.
- Participate in tech talks and connect with other interns and employees through social and professional events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s program for mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- At least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
- Experience designing parts and assemblies, and preparing engineering drawings, using CAD software like Solidedge or Solidworks.
- Hands-on experience working with mechanical components and assemblies.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- At least 3 months of applied engineering experience, such as internships, laboratory work, or personal and team projects.
- Preferred: A GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Preferred: 6 or more months of applied engineering experience.
- Preferred: Experience building electro-mechanical assemblies, performing structural and thermal finite element analysis, or using Python.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site for a minimum of 16 consecutive weeks beginning May 3, 2027.
- Compensation: CAD $60,008.
