    About the role#

    As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will support the development of new concepts and hardware for spacecraft. You will build and test designs to ensure they survive extreme space environments and deliver fully tested hardware to the integration team. This role contributes to the development of the next generation of high performing spacecraft.

    What you'll do#

    • Apply engineering concepts to solve real challenges.
    • Work closely with your mentor and other employees.
    • Attend frequent 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors to track progress.
    • Participate in tech talks and network through social and professional events.
    • Lead development projects without direct supervision.
    • Collaborate across teams to deliver results.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Astronautical, or Mechanical engineering.
    • At least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or above.
    • At least 3 months of applied engineering experience, including internships, laboratory work, or personal projects.
    • Ability to thrive in ambiguity.
    • Interest in working within small, high-performing teams.

    • Location: Long Beach, California.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: Full-time, on-site.
    • Compensation: $28.00 per hour.
