About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at our Wallops Island, Virginia site, you will support the development of production processes. You will identify and design the equipment needed for the receipt, final integration, and launch of the Neutron Launch Vehicle. You will work alongside the Neutron Vehicle Integration Engineer and other team members responsible for testing and launching the vehicle.

- Apply engineering concepts to solve real challenges alongside a group of professionals.
- Work with your mentor and team to grow your technical and professional skills.
- Attend regular 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors to discuss your progress.
- Participate in tech talks and connect with other interns and employees through various events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in engineering, physics, or mathematics.
- At least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- At least 3 months of applied engineering experience, including internships, laboratory work, or personal projects.
- Ability to work full-time on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks starting in May or June 2027.
- Preference for a 3.5 GPA or higher and 6 months of applied engineering experience.
- Preferred skills include basic coding proficiency in Python or SQL, solid modelling, and CAD/CAM experience.
- A strong interest in identifying and driving process improvement opportunities is preferred.
