As an Integration & Test Intern, you will support the Space Systems Integration and Test Team with specialized equipment. You will contribute to improvements that directly impact the spacecraft Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) phase. This role involves participating in all aspects of satellite programs, from initial proposal through to launch and early operations, ensuring flight spacecraft meet mission requirements.
What you'll do#
- Support the maintenance and operation of unique integration and test equipment.
- Collaborate with mentors and team members to apply engineering concepts and grow your technical and professional skills.
- Attend regular 1:1 meetings with supervisors to track progress and facilitate learning.
- Engage with the broader team through tech talks and professional networking events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related math discipline.
- At least one semester of school remaining following the internship.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- At least 3 months of applied engineering experience, such as internships, laboratory work, or personal/team projects.
- A general understanding of radio frequency and electronic components, including capacitors, inductors, and transformers.
- A GPA of 3.5 or above is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Long Beach, California.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning in August or September 2026.
- Compensation: Paid position.
