As a Hardware In The Loop (HITL) Engineering Intern, you will support the Space Systems organization by contributing to the design, maintenance, and operation of HITL systems. This role is based in Long Beach, California, and requires a full-time, on-site commitment for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning September 8, 2026.
What you'll do#
- Support deliverables for HITL stakeholders within the Space Systems organization.
- Collaborate with your mentor and department team members to apply engineering concepts to real-world challenges.
- Develop your technical and professional skills through hands-on project work.
- Participate in regular check-ins with mentors and supervisors to track progress and facilitate learning.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- At least one semester of school remaining following the internship.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- At least 3 months of applied engineering experience, such as internships, laboratory work, or personal/team projects.

- Location: Long Beach, California.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Compensation: $28.00 USD per hour.
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time.
