As a Turbomachinery Intern, you will join the Turbopump team within the propulsion department in Long Beach, California. You will contribute to a highly integrated system in a development and production environment, working closely with manufacturing, external vendors, and functional groups supporting engine development.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real-world challenges alongside a group of professionals.
- Collaborate with your mentor and department team members to grow your technical and professional skills.
- Participate in regular 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors to receive feedback, provide progress updates, and facilitate learning.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
- At least one semester of school remaining following the internship.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- At least 3 months of applied engineering experience, which may include internships, laboratory work, or personal/team projects.
- Preferred qualifications include a GPA of 3.5 or above and 6+ months of applied engineering experience.
Location & details#
- Location: Long Beach, California.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning August or September 2026.
- Compensation: $28.00 per hour.
