Manufacturing Engineering Intern Fall 2026

About the role#

As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern in Long Beach, California, you will collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to develop and qualify processes for rocket engine manufacturing. You will work alongside professionals to apply engineering concepts to real-world challenges while gaining technical and professional experience.

What you'll do#

• Work closely with mentors and department staff to apply engineering knowledge and grow technical skills.
• Solve real challenges by applying engineering and industry concepts within a professional group.
• Attend regular 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors to receive feedback and provide progress updates.
• Participate in tech talks and professional networking events with other interns and employees.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in an engineering, physics, or math discipline.
• At least one semester of school remaining following the internship.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0.
• At least 3 months of applied engineering experience, including internships, laboratory work, or team projects.
• Preferred: A GPA of 3.5 or above.
• Preferred: 6+ months of applied engineering experience.
• Preferred: Experience with Solid Modelling, Computer Aided Design (CAD), and shop equipment such as mills and lathes.

• Location: Long Beach, California.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Modality: Full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning in August or September 2026.
