About the role#
As a Fluid Component Intern, you will join our team in Long Beach, California, for the Summer 2027 term. You will support the design of second-generation devices to improve the reliability of our fluid handling systems, including valves and actuators for our launch vehicles and engines.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside your mentor and department colleagues to apply engineering concepts to real-world challenges.
- Attend regular 1:1 meetings with supervisors to track progress and discuss your work.
- Provide frequent updates on your project status.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver results on development projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Astronautical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least one semester of school remaining after the internship concludes.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- At least 3 months of applied engineering experience, such as lab work, personal projects, or previous internships.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Long Beach, California.
- The internship requires a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks of work starting in May or June 2027.
- This role is paid at a rate of $28.00 per hour.
- You may be eligible for a relocation stipend.
