    About the role#

    As an Electrical Engineering Intern in Long Beach, you will contribute to the development and testing of avionics hardware for spacecraft programs. You will participate in the full hardware lifecycle, from requirements definition and design to prototyping, fabrication, testing, and production. You will work alongside engineers from various disciplines to solve technical challenges.

    • Collaborate with mentors and team members to apply engineering concepts and grow your professional skills.
    • Attend regular 1:1 meetings with supervisors to track progress and discuss your work.
    • Participate in tech talks and connect with other interns and employees.
    • Apply your knowledge to real-world engineering tasks within a high-performing team.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate program in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or math.
    • At least one semester of school remaining after the internship concludes.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or above.
    • At least 3 months of applied engineering experience, including internships, laboratory work, or personal projects.
    • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and work in small, collaborative teams.

    Preferred qualifications include:

    • A GPA of 3.5 or above.
    • 6+ months of applied engineering experience.
    • Experience with schematic capture tools, preferably Altium.
    • Skills in custom circuit building and PCB/PCBA layout design.
    • Familiarity with electronics test equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
    • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as C/C++, Python, VHDL, or Verilog.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Long Beach, California.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Commitment: Full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks starting in May or June 2027.
    • Compensation: $28.00 per hour.
