About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will participate in a 12-week program focused on accelerated learning and project impact. You will work alongside a dedicated mentor to address technical challenges in areas such as distributed systems, real-time communication, 3D co-experience, data processing, and rendering. You will engage in a team matching process to align your skills with specific groups like Infrastructure, Engine, Search and Discovery, Foundational AI, or Economy.
What you'll do#
- Join a supportive community of engineers to deliver live production projects.
- Investigate and experiment with cutting-edge technologies, including machine learning frameworks and large language models, to improve engineering systems.
- Own a project from initial coding and testing through to production deployment.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Design, Product, Data, QA, and DevOps, to deliver features.
- Present your work to peers and company leaders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Go, Node.js, Ruby, Python, C++, Lua, Swift, C#, or Java.
- A curious, collaborative mindset with an openness to feedback and a drive to solve complex technical problems.
Location & details#
- Location: San Mateo, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday).
- Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
