About the role#
The Talent Management & Analytics team builds data tools that integrate predictive insights and AI into workforce systems. As an intern, you will work at the intersection of data science, product development, and organizational psychology. You will help design data products that leaders and managers use to understand talent, team performance, and retention. You will work under the mentorship of a data scientist and the talent management team.
What you'll do#
- Develop and refine predictive models to forecast workforce trends like attrition risk and hiring velocity.
- Build and maintain automated data pipelines using SQL and dbt to turn raw data into real-time insights.
- Support the design of survey methodologies and employee listening strategies to track organizational health.
- Create high-fidelity visualizations and dashboards for executive-ready reporting.
- Collaborate on AI-driven workflows to automate the analysis of unstructured feedback.
- Maintain data integrity by defining metric dictionaries and managing a semantic layer for core KPIs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Expected graduation date of Winter 2027 or Summer 2028.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python or R for statistical analysis and data manipulation.
- A portfolio or project examples that show your ability to extract insights from complex datasets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills and a focus on detail.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Familiarity with Workday, Slack, and Google Suite is a plus.
- Preference for prior work experience in HR.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in Menlo Park, California.
- This position follows a hybrid work model with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
