About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience with environmental projects throughout Oakland County. You will split your time between office tasks and field work during the summer of 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist with field activities including wetland delineations and soil erosion control.
- Manage regulated materials and conduct facility inspections.
- Perform water sampling, stream monitoring, and stream assessments.
- Document historical sites and maintain accurate records.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Ecology, Biology, Geography, or a related field.
- Ability to work in diverse environments including wetlands, roadways, and fields, regardless of high heat or rain.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for report generation.
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- A valid Driver’s License and legal eligibility to work in the United States.
- Punctuality and a commitment to completing assignments on time with high-quality notes and photography.

- Location: Beverly Hills, Michigan.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
- Work is available on a rolling basis.
