About the role#
As a Project Engineer Intern for Summer 2027, you will work under direct supervision to handle administrative and technical tasks within our construction projects. This is an entry-level, non-exempt position where you will support project managers by coordinating tasks and ensuring our operations follow established guidelines and procedures.
What you'll do#
- Manage contractual agreements with owners, contractors, and suppliers while negotiating terms and scope of work.
- Oversee project documentation, including daily reports, time cards, and permit tracking.
- Coordinate pre-construction meetings and assist in developing mechanical construction schedules.
- Handle the project submittal process, including shop drawings, manuals, and as-built records.
- Monitor project budgets, track labor costs, and verify billings for completed work.
- Support quality control, process change orders, and track procurement of materials.
- Assist the safety manager with accident reporting and ensure site compliance with safety programs.
- Help resolve project conflicts and contribute to efficient job closeout procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work in a structured environment and follow established operational processes.
- Capacity to coordinate specific tasks to achieve well-defined project outcomes.
- No previous relevant experience is required for this role.
